I scoured the internet for awesome Texas-themed shirts for my friends and I to wear for the Run The Alamo 13.1, and when I found the “Don’t Austin My Texas” shirts, I knew I found the winner! I ordered 3 shirts and the Texian Army Brew, and when my order came with a hand-written thank you note, I knew I would be a repeat customer. The shirts were comfy and perfect for the race, and the coffee is excellent! I brewed the coffee for the first time while on a camping trip at Caprock Canyons State Park… using a backpacker’s stove/French press combo to make single cups at a time. It was delicious and really hit the spot on some very chilly mornings in the canyon. I could imagine Texian Army soldiers gathered around a campfire waiting for their coffee to brew to knock the chill out of their boots in the morning. I even took it to my office to share with my coffee-loving coworkers… all who have agreed that the subtle smokiness is delightfully delicious and the aroma is AMAZING. I’m excited to try the Bourbon barrel aged coffee and the Crack Shot coffee next! I ordered the whole beans so we can grind to different coarseness (my husband likes using coarse ground beans to make cowboy coffee in a kettle).
Well done, y’all!
